ZeMKI, Zentrum für Medien-, Kommunikations- und Informationsforschung Vortrag zu Teaching Experience Design Research auf dem 5. EdTech Research Forum NewsZeMKI-News29. August 2024 Im Vortrag Teaching Experience Design (TXD) Research: a case-study of the development of a classroom interaction environment in nursing education von Imke A.M. Meyer und Prof. Dr. Karsten D. Wolf aus dem Lab Medien & Bildung wurde mit dem Konzept des Teaching Experience Designs ein neuer Fokus in der User Experience Forschung am Beispiel der Classroom Interaction Environment CARO am 29.08.24 auf dem 5. EdTech Research Forum an der Universität Duisburg-Essen vorgestellt. Modern research in educa.onal technology development or learning and instrucional design has shifted towards a more holistic Learning Experience (LX) approach (Jahnke et al., 2022), integrating user-centred design (UCD), usability research, user experience design (UXD), software development and learning research. So far, the focus of this approach has been on the learner, mostly ignoring the teacher perspective, although in teacher- or instructor-led online courses, but especially in face-to-face teaching, there is a high technical and cognitive load on teachers to orchestrate teaching-learning arrangements. Surprisingly, there is a lack of research on the design of educational technology from the teachers‘ perspective. To address this problem, we propose a complementary Teaching Experience Design (TXD) research framework and demonstrate it in a case study situated in nursing education.
