Dr. Adio-Adet Dinika is a researcher at the Distributed AI Research Institute (DAIR) and co-lead of the Data Workers’ Inquiry project. The upcoming ComAI Lecture will take place next Tuesday, May 26. Our guest in Bremen will be Prof. Dr. Simone Natale, Associate Professor in Media Theory and History at the University of Turin, Italy. His lecture will focus on the topic “AI, Agency, and Power Geometries.”

From 11 to 15 May 2026, the fourth edition of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) organized by the Digital Constitutionalism Network took place in Dublin, Ireland. We are delighted to announce that our ZeMKI member Hannah Marie Büttner successfully defended her dissertation, titled “Social Movement Power in Digitally Networked Protest: A Study of Anti-Covid Communities on Telegram,” on May 5, 2026.

The interdisciplinary research network CARD (Conceptualizing Agency, Religion and Digitalization) is holding its second working meeting at the University of Bremen from May 4th to May 6th. The focus of the event is the discussion of the first chapters of a planned handbook that will scientifically examine the complex interrelationships between agency, religion, and digital transformation processes.
