						ZeMKI looks 20 years into the future – Day two of the anniversary conference
				The anniversary conference of ZeMKI begins its scientific program today. Under the theme “20 Years into the Future: What is our vision of media, data, and society?”, researchers from various disciplines will discuss key questions about the future of digital media, data, and social change.

				On October 20, 2025, ZeMKI member Dr. Philip Sinner was invited by Prof. Dr. Bram Constandt and Prof. Dr. Liselot Hudders (UGent, Belgium) to participate as an expert in a co-creation session of the GAMSPON project in Brussels.

						From Analyses of the Present to Futuring – Call for Contributions for Workshop at the University of Bremen
				Under the title “From Analyses of the Present to Futuring”, the DFG Research Unit Communicative AI (ComAI) together with the Section for Sociology of Knowledge of the German Sociological Association (DGS) invites submissions for an interdisciplinary workshop on methods of future-oriented generation of practice and knowledge.

						Program: Gamevironments Research Day on 22nd October
				This year’s theme is “Video Games and Our Futures.” Currently in 21st Century society, we face a range of complex issues and wide-sweeping changes and challenges, ranging from radical political and economic shifts, to the implications of climate change and related environmental threats, migration, the impacts of wars, and the long legacies and effects of colonialism, gender inequities and other related power imbalances.
