Dr. Daria Dergacheva from PGMT Lab will present on the topic “Governing Russian disinformation: very large social media platforms policies in the context of Russian invasion and war in Ukraine” at a workshop at Maastricht University on October 11, 2024.

ZeMKI members Prof. Dr. Stephanie Geise and Prof. Dr. Cornelius Puschmann are part of the Graduate Student Scholarship Program (GSSP) of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

On September 30, 2024, the “Beyond Play The Transformative Power of Digital Gaming in a Deeply Mediatized Society” conference will start at 11 a.m. with an exciting program at the University of Bremen. The conference will run until October 2, 2024.

On September 18th, the OpenQDA-Team gave a presentation "The OpenQDA project: a software architecture for a sustainable open research software for collaborative qualitative data analysis" at the 25th DINI conference in Potsdam.

A new publication entitled “Communicating the League of Nations: Contributions to a Transnational Communication History of the League of Nations in the Inter-War Period (1920-1938)” by Erik Koenen and other ZeMKI members has been published.

From September 18 to 20, the 7th annual conference of the DGPuK sdivision Media Sports and Sports Communication took place in Hamburg with strong participation from the ZeMKI.

Today marked the end of the 2024 Writing Week, which took place from September 16 to 20 at the Ev. Bildungszentrum Bad Bederkesa.

The Lab Platform Governance, Media & Technology is goint to ECREA at the University of Ljubljana from September 24-27, 2024.

On September 11, 2024, ZeMKI member Patrick Zerrer successfully completed his doctoral colloquium - congratulations! The title of the dissertation is “Political action and news use of the Fridays for Future Movement in Germany”.

Samira Ghozzi-Ben Miled will be a guest on September 16, 2024 at 6 p.m. at a panel event at the House of Science Bremen. The topic of the event is “Distance yourself! The INDI - Informed by Influencers project will be presented at the “Wisscomm Connected” conference in Berlin on September 11 and 12, 2024. The event is organized by the “Transfer Unit Science Communication” and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The “Wisscomm Connected” conference aims to bring together practice and research in science communication in order to promote exchange and networking.

ZeMKI member Prof. Dr. Andreas Hepp will give a lecture on Friday, 20.09.2024, at the conference “Norbert Elias in Practice - From Human Science to Applied Science” at Esslingen University.

On Saturday, 21.09.2024, ZeMKI member Prof. Dr. Andreas Hepp will give a lecture at the Literarische Gesellschaft in Karlsruhe.
