Talk “Digital Turbulence” by Jan Rau at the Digital Media Theme Days

ZeMKI member Jan Rau holds a lecture on April 24, 2025 with the title “Digitale Turbulenzen: Challenges of a democratic society in times of (digital) upheaval” at the Digital Media Theme Days in Hamburg.

The lecture is part of the program of the theme days organized by the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, which will take place from 23 to 25 April 2025 under the motto “Truth or lies? How fake news influences our everyday lives” at SPACE in the Speicherstadt historical warehouse district.

The Digital Media Theme Days are dedicated to the central question of how fake news influences our everyday lives and jeopardizes trust in the media and factual exchange. Against the backdrop of the rapid spread of disinformation, particularly via social media, experts from academia and practice will discuss the challenges for democracy.
