January 2025 In December 2024, the latest version of OpenQDA, an open source research infrastructure for qualitative data analysis, was presented at a workshop at the Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin. A report on this has now been published by Roland Toth. OpenQDA is an open source software for the qualitative coding of data (interviews, observation protocols, etc.). Elementary functions of the program are ease of use, collaborative work on projects and a plug-in infrastructure to be able to expand it with additional functions if required. OpenQDA is still under development and is currently in the early access phase. The official release is planned for the near future. It runs on servers at the University of Bremen and can be used by anyone free of charge. The report can be found here. Further information on the software can be found here.
