Radio Eins Interview on ‘molo.news’ with Andreas Hepp

ZeMKI member Prof. Dr Andreas Hepp, one of the PIs of the project ‘molo.news’, reported on the ad-free and data-saving news platform for local news in the Radio Eins podcast ‘Medienmagazin’ on 11 January 2025.

Originally developed for Bremen, the team behind Molo is now aiming to scale it up nationwide after eight major cities are already successfully using the platform. The great thing about Molo is that anyone can use the app and get involved. You can either just consume news without logging in or create your own account and get involved in the distribution of local news. In addition to the familiar newsfeed, Molo also offers a calendar of events, making the app the ideal medium for your own region.
