Biography
Sami Nenno was an advisory member at the Center for Media, Communication, and Information Research at the University of Bremen and a research assistant at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in the “Public Interest AI” research group. He earned an M.A. in Philosophy from Humboldt University in Berlin and an M.Sc. in Data Science from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he worked at a media monitoring company. As part of his doctoral project, he is exploring the topic of disinformation and fact-checking. He is interested in ways in which fact-checking organizations can be supported using techniques from data science. He is also examining the role and impact of fact-checking in public discourse.
