PhD Writing Week 2024

The Writing Retreat 2024 to this year is scheduled from September 16 to September 20. This Writing Week is designed to support the academic progress of doctoral candidates by providing an environment perfectly suited for focused writing and research.

Situated in the picturesque north of Germany, this retreat offers participants a chance to advance their doctoral dissertations without the distractions of everyday life. The program includes various modules where doctoral candidates can contribute self-organized content tailored to the group’s specific needs. The primary focus is on creating concrete text components for their dissertations. These writing phases are complemented by discussions on writing strategies, goal setting, different types of texts, and feedback sessions.

The event aims to give doctoral candidates a valuable opportunity to make significant progress on their dissertations.
