Workshop on data visualization

Minds, Media, Machines Integrated Graduate School (MMMIGS) and ZeMKI are hosting a workshop about data visualization for doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers. The workshop takes place on March 15, from 9:00-17:00 at the University of Bremen and will be held in English.

The workshop will cover on the one hand general aspects of visualization with a focus on poster presentations and on the other hand specific data visualization tools (e.g., R, Shiny, and Plotly). The detailed contents will be tailored to the demands of the participants. Please register below until Februray 29, 2024 to receive the respective participant questionnaire. Later registration is also possible, but you won’t be able to influence the content of the workshop.

The workshop will be taught by Dr. Paul C. Bauer (www.paulcbauer.de), a researcher at the University of Freiburg (Seminar für Politikwissenschaft), at LMU Munich (Department of Statistics with Frauke Kreuter) and an external fellow at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) where he leads a DFG project. Paul conducts research in the areas of political sociology, methodology and computational social science.
