On April 22, Earth Day unites the world to raise awareness for the protection of our planet. At ZeMKI, researchers are investigating the crucial role that media and communication play in shaping how we understand and engage with climate change.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, David Gunkel will be a guest at ZeMKI for a panel discussion on “LLMs and the Death of the Author” from 10 am to 12 pm.

ZeMKI member Prof. Dr. Kerstin Radde-Antweiler will hold a workshop at the working group “Geisteswissenschaften und Digitale Spiele” (Humanities and Digital Games) on April 17.

The next event in the ComAI Lecture series will take place on April 15. This time, Mike Schäfer from the University of Zurich will be a guest at the Bremen Press Club and talks on the topic “Science Communication and Artificial Intelligence: How AI is changing public communication about science”.

On April 9, 2025, ZeMKI member Dr. Dom Ford will hold a keynote presentation entitled “Mytholudics: Games and Myth” at the International Conference on Victorian and American Myths in Video Games at NOVA University Lisbon.

Christine Davidsson Sandal from Lund University visited ZeMKI as a guest researcher and met with Andreas Hepp whose publication “The Mediated Construction of Reality” served as one of the main theoretical inspirations for her doctoral dissertation.
