The Political Communication and Innovative Methods Lab at the DGPuK

The annual conference of the German Society for Journalism and Communication Studies (DGPuK) will take place in Erfurt from March 13 to March 15. The Political Communication and Innovative Methods Lab will be represented with lectures in Erfurt: Stephanie Geise will present the lecture “Reception versus Reflection” together with Katharina Maubach. In the lecture, they will compare different methods for capturing emotions during and after media reception. In the same panel, Nieki Samar and Stephanie Geise will present the lecture “News avoidance as a regulatory strategy to secure the ‘good life’?”. They will present new findings on the strategies of news avoidance from the data of their qualitative study.
