This question is at the center of three current lectures by Leif Kramp, which deal with the effects of the digital transformation on users and journalists. In times of information overload, hate speech and algorithmic manipulation, it becomes clear that resilience is not only an individual strength, but also a social imperative. 5 years of DigitalCheckNRW: Resilience in the digital information space On June 17, 2025, Kramp will give the keynote speech at the anniversary event “5 years of DigitalCheckNRW” of the Gesellschaft für Medienpädagogik und Kommunikationskultur (GMK). The event looks back on five years of promoting digital information literacy and offers practical insights into media education and digital self-empowerment. In his keynote speech, Kramp will explore the question of how resilient media use can be promoted in everyday life – in particular through education, systematic information and the ability to handle digital content with confidence. On June 17, 2025 at 3 p.m., Kramp will report on the initial results of the DJV Member Survey 2025, for which he is responsible, as part of a meeting of the DJV’s Quality Initiative (IQ). Topics will include stress and resilience factors in the day-to-day work of journalists – a highly topical contribution to the discussion on mental health, working conditions and future security in the media industry. Digital resilience in everyday life: lecture at the self-help network Under the title “How do we stay healthy online? The loss of light-heartedness and how we can become more resilient in the digital world”, Kramp will be speaking on June 23, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Weserterrassen community center (club room) in Bremen. Organized by the Self-Help Network, the event is dedicated to the psychosocial stress of digital media use. The lecture will address how we can maintain our mental balance despite constant digital availability, disinformation and social pressure – with a special focus on the concept of digital resilience.
