ZeMKI Research Report 2015 Research Reports Editorial For the ZeMKI, 2015 was a special year because it was characterized by the centre’s 10-year anniversary: Founded in 2005 under the name IMKI (Institute for Media, Communication and Information Research) and renamed in 2011 as ZeMKI (Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research), we look back at a history that is no longer short. It has been characterized not only by continual growth but also by a development that has enabled early research associates of the ZeMKI to become professors at various places domestic and abroad. Besides the other activities launched in 2015, we celebrated the 10-year anniversary. Additionally, we organized the 28th Bremen University Talks for the University of Bremen on November 19 and 20, 2015.Together with the Wolfgang-Ritter-Foundation we invited scientists from Germany and Great Britain to discuss jointly “The Future of Media, Communication and Information” and its implications for society with respect to their own research. Subsequently, the ZeMKI anniversary celebration took place. Overall, thereby, the year has been special for the ZeMKI, which has lost nothing of its dynamic. This is illustrated by various activities that are documented on the following pages. We hope you enjoy reading and browsing through this research report!
