"Press and History - New Articles" Book Series The book series is published by Edition Lumière Verlag and edited by Dr. Astrid Blome, Prof. Dr. Holger Böning and Prof. Dr. Michael Nagel. The development of the modern age is inconceivable without the printing press. Their products are the subject of this series, with the periodical writings – calendars, newspapers, periodicals, intelligence papers – taking center stage. However, other writings and their effects are not excluded, such as travelogues, which served the appropriation of the world, or autobiographies, which contributed to the self-understanding of the reading public. The aim is to capture the significance and richness of journalistic and literary production, as it has significantly shaped the development of modern society and still determines our everyday lives today. The series is edited by Holger Böning and Michael Nagel, both members of the Institute of German Press Research and members of the ZeMKI, and Astrid Blome and is published by the Bremen-based publishing house edition lumiere.
