Research Doctoral Projects Data Pratice in School Social Work PhD project When looking at the interface between school social work and digitalization, it becomes clear that there is little knowledge and even less insight into the interactions between them. The literature states, among other things, that digitalization “just happens” (Ermel 2020: 42). Nevertheless, it is becoming apparent that digital media affect school social work at different levels, which leads to the assumption that there are routines and ways of dealing with digital media in practice that can at best be reconstructed through practices. The doctoral project investigates this and attempts to elaborate on how the “professionalization case of digitalization” shapes school social work and, above all, practices and what consequences this has for the professional actions of school social workers.
