New Article by ZeMKI Member Dr. Dom Ford

ZeMKI member Dr. Dom Ford has published a new journal article in Transactions of the Digital Games Research Association vol. 6, no. 3.

The article applies the method for analysing games through myth that Dr. Dom Ford developed in his dissertation, mytholudics, to FromSoftware’s Souls videogame series. He argues that this approach can help to map out the connections between fictional worlds, even when those worlds are not all from the same diegetic universe. He also shows how players in the community are integral to that worldbuilding and mythmaking.
