January 2024 In the BMBF-funded project “molo.news”, we are testing the nationwide launch of a local news and information platform. In this project (headed by Prof. Dr. Andreas Hepp), the University of Bremen, Center for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) has a vacancy for a Research assistant (f/m/d) Salary group 13 TV-L 75 % of regular working hours for the duration of the project limited until 28.02.2026 (according to §2 Abs. 2 WisszeitVG). Tasks: The research assistant will mainly be responsible for tasks related to scientific data collection and analysis in the project. Responsibilities include in particular the Conception, implementation and evaluation of quantitative data collection Coordination of deadlines and communication with project partners Preparation of results in the form of scientific and practical presentations, publications and project reports in German and English Public relations and transfer (e.g. event organization, social media) Recruitment requirements: Completed academic university degree (Master’s degree / university diploma) in communication and media studies or another social science Knowledge of the North German media and cultural landscape Experience in conducting qualitative interviews and group discussions Interest in working in a creative team that wants to realize an important social cohesion project Commitment, initiative and a meticulous approach to work The application deadline is 16.02.2024.
