i2b express article on the molo project
17. October 2025
In a recent article in i2b-express (a Bremen-based journal for innovation in the metropolitan region), ZeMKI member Alex Krause explains what makes the molo platform so special.
The molo app – moving local – aims to make life in cities and communities more visible digitally. Users can follow local news, events, and initiatives directly on their smartphones. Alex Krause, who is part of the development team, explains that molo is a platform for anyone who wants to focus on proximity, participation, and the common good. The aim is to strengthen local voices, from neighborhood projects to club work, and to promote community.
The app is free, ad-free, and does not collect any data. Content is bundled using AI, and a chat window for direct questions will be added in the future. To help molo spread further, the team is looking for multipliers nationwide who will bring the idea of a digital, networked neighborhood to their cities.
