On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, together with Radio Bremen/Bremen Zwei and the Bremer Presse-Club, we invite you to the ZeMKI Media Talks on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence in Journalism” at Club 27 from 6:30 pm. The event will take place in German language.

Our guest is Dr. Jens Radü, Head of Service at Germany’s leading news magazine DER SPIEGEL. Radü, born in 1979, completed his doctorate on New Digital Storytelling in 2019 and, as Managing Editor, deals with the many and varied current challenges in dealing with artificial intelligence: What practical, but also ethical questions arise when using AI in news production? What impact is AI already having on the evaluation of information from a variety of sometimes opaque sources? Jens Radü has been with SPIEGEL since 2006, is a member of the board of the Reporter:innen-Forum and had worked as a trainee at Westdeutscher Rundfunk.

Together with presenter Lisa-Marie Röhling and ZeMKI spokesperson Prof. Dr. Andreas Hepp, we will discuss with Jens Radü about the potentials and risks, the latest tools and tricks and the future of the journalistic profession in the face of advancing automation through AI.

Admission is free. Registration is not required.
