Christine Davidsson Sandal as guest researcher at ZeMKI

Swedish doctoral student Christine Davidsson Sandal from Lund University visited ZeMKI as a guest researcher and met with Andreas Hepp whose joined publication with Nick Couldry from 2016 “The Mediated Construction of Reality” served as one of the main theoretical inspirations for her doctoral dissertation.

Since autumn of 2019 Davidsson Sandal has been a doctoral student in the field of media history. In order to understand how religious mediated practies create and maintain a mediatized world, she explores the spiritist society Edelweissfübundet’s practices and media ecology from around the turn of the century 1900.
