ZeMKI member Dr. Rebecca Scharlach was recently elected to the Executive Committee (Open Seat) of the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR) for the 2025-2027 term.

On May 7, 2025, Andreas Hepp will give a lecture at the Institute for Global Governance Research (GGR) at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. The lecture will explore the concept of digital futures and the research perspectives required to investigate them.

As part of the annual conference of the Passau Young Researchers Excellence Centre (PYREC), Simon Sax will speak on April 29 about the concept of pro-democratic communication and its significance in politically unstable times.
