The PGMT Lab is going to AoIR in Sheffield, UK, from October 30 to November 2, 2024. The conference brings together hundreds of academics, researchers and other participants for an interdisciplinary, multi-methodological look at the Internet.

ZeMKI member Prof. Dr. Christian Schwarzenegger holds two presentations at workshops in Copenhagen and Stockholm this week.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Rebecca Scharlach as the newest member of the PGMT Lab at ZeMKI! In her postdoctoral project, Rebecca will explore the socio-technical impact of integrating generative AI into social media platforms.

ZeMKI member Dr. Dom Ford gave a presentation at this year's Central and Eastern European Game Studies Conference (CEEGS): "Reimagining Games, Art, and Performativity" in Nafplio, Greece, on October 10-12.

On October 23, 2024, the research colloquium by Prof. Dr. Lars de Wildt on "Global Gaming’s Reorientation to China" will take place at the ZeMKI.

"An Industry Perspective on Regulating Platformized Sexual Content" - Rébecca Suzanne Franco will be speaking in the next session of PGMT Lab's online talk series “Behind the Scenes - Conversations on Empirical Platform Governance Research".

Dr. Daria Dergacheva from PGMT Lab will present on the topic “Governing Russian disinformation: very large social media platforms policies in the context of Russian invasion and war in Ukraine” at a workshop at Maastricht University on October 11, 2024.
