Until December 1, 2025, abstracts can be submitted for the workshop on international relations in the digital age, which is being organized by ZeMKI and the Institute for Intercultural and International Studies (InIIS) at the University of Bremen, as well as the International Relations Section (IB Section) of the German Political Science Association (DVPW).

The Lab Platform Governance, Media, and Technology (PGMT), at the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI), University of Bremen, is hosting the next AoIR Flashpoint Symposium on 3-4 june 2025.

Under the coordination of PGMT Lab member Dr. Dennis Redeker, the first Blended Intensive Program (BIP) took place at the University of Bremen. On July 19, 2024, Dr. Miira Hill presented a joint paper with Patrick Zerrer and Cornelius Puschmann at the EASST-4S Conference in Amsterdam.

On 13 July 2024, Dr. Dennis Redeker, ZeMKI member and postdoc in the "Platform Governance, Media, and Technology Lab" (Prof. Dr. Katzenbach), spoke about social media platforms and their regulation as part of the "Wissen um 11 (Knowledge at 11)" lecture series at the Haus der Wissenschaft in Bremen.

9. Juli 2024, 13:00 – 14:00 Uhr: In the next edition of our online talk series "Behind the Scenes - Conversations on Empirical Platform Governance Research", Friederike Quint and Yannis Theocharis will talk about the role of community guidelines on social media platforms for users when evaluating potentially harmful content.

On June 25, the ZeMKI will host the last ComAI Lecture in the spring semester 2024.
