WDR5 radio report on "molo"

On June 7, 2025, the radio report “molo – Lokaljournalismus in einer App” by WDR5 is published.

Following the digital conference re:publica, which took place in Berlin this year, the report gives insight into how molo counteracts so-called news deserts and bundles local reports depending on the user’s location.

Sara Ritter spoke to ZeMKI members Alex Krause and Andrea Grahl, who were involved in the development of the app, and explains who can publish content on molo and how users can use it without registration or algorithms.
