Linxin Wang is a guest researcher at ZeMKI for three months through the Bremen-Cardiff-Alliance. The Bremen-Cardiff-Alliance was founded in 2019 with the research focus on media and communication sciences, literature and social sciences, marine and environmental sciences and semiconductor physics.

Linxin Wang graduated from Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media, and Culture in January. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the intersection of social media and migration. She is currently editor-in-chief of the Journal of Intersectional Perspectives: Identity, Culture, and Society.

She plans to submit a journal article in the next three months. She also intends to collect data in Germany related to Chinese immigrants and their use of social media, particularly with regard to building virtual family relationships and health communication.
