Lab Datafizierung und Mediatisierung
Das Lab Datafizierung und Mediatisierung setzt sich damit auseinander, wie sich Gesellschaften im Zuge zunehmender Durchdringung mit digitalen Medien und Infrastrukturen wandeln. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf der Rolle von digitalen Daten in diesen globalisierten Veränderungsprozessen. Die aktuelle Forschung des Labs befasst sich insbesondere mit der Automatisierung von Kommunikation, der Rolle von Pioniergemeinschaften und Pionierjournalismus in medienbezogenen Transformationsprozessen, sowie Medien- und Datenpraktiken bspw. bei der Mediennutzung und -aneignung, Sportkommunikation, Trauerkommunikation, Vergemeinschaftung und Wissensvermittlung bzw. Wissenschaftskommunikation. Hierbei entwickelt das Lab auch Forschungssoftware und eine Nachrichtenplattform für Lokaljournalismus bzw. lokale Informationen. Über diese Themen hinweg liegt ein Fokus auf Fragen des „guten Lebens“ und der nachhaltigen Gestaltung unserer Medienumgebung.
