Christian Schwarzenegger identifies three key aspects that highlight the importance of videogames in today’s society: Videogames resonate even more strongly with their players than other media such as music or film; game logic permeates everyday life and shapes our society; and, finally, gaming is often a pioneer in the media industry. In addition, gaming is one of the largest entertainment sectors of our time in economic terms.
