On May 4, 2026, the English edition of the textbook Key Works: Theories in Communication Studies was published. It offers a comprehensive overview of key theories in communication studies and presents 28 essential texts at the micro, meso, and macro levels.
One of these contributions is an English translation and revised version of an essay on Friedrich Krotz’s work Die Mediatisierung kommunikativen Handelns (2001). The text addresses key aspects of the mediatization approach and makes them accessible to an international audience. The author of the essay is ZeMKI member, Dr. Leif Kramp.
