The Saturday edition of the Weser-Kurier on June 27 featured an essay by ZeMKI member Dr. Leif Kramp on the dominance of a handful of platform companies in digital media usage. In it, Kramp discusses the implications for the digital public of the market power held by a few tech conglomerates from the U.S. and China, as well as how resistance to this trend can be organized in Europe, in light of a recent study published by Cologne-based author Martin Andree on new, technically measured real-world usage data for Germany.
