Statement on the Debate over Social Media Bans

In a recent article for the Medium Magazine, ZeMKI member Dr. Leif Kramp examines the international debate surrounding social media bans for children and adolescents. In it, he argues that the focus should be less on bans and more on promoting confident use of social media and online platforms in general. Efforts to strengthen digital resilience should target children, adolescents, and their parents and be promoted systematically and broadly.

The guest article appears to mark the release of the “Lehrbuch Digital Resilienz,” which Leif Kramp co-authored with Stephan Weichert and published through Herbert von Halem Verlag.
