In January 2026, the article published by ZeMKI member Stephanie Geise together with Yi Xu is honored by the editor of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly (JMCQ) as one of the outstanding publications of 2025.
The article, “Effects of Visual Framing in Multimodal Media Environments”, uses a systematic review of studies from 1979 to 2023 to examine the effects of visual and multimodal framing on perception, emotions, cognition, and behavior.
